48 hours, and the nurses have not had to add any insulin to mom's medication. So far, so good. Its a strange sort of giddy terror I'm in, hope for recovery and adaptation, agonising apprehension for any kind of problems that may come.
It is quiet in my usually noisy house.
Edit: This is the second time I've used the terms 'giddy' and terror'; upon reflection though, I can find no better terms for expression.
